Sale Fell - Lake District Walk

The sudden heat wave meant we grabbed the opportunity for a late camping holiday and so after pitching the tent we headed to Sale Fell for a late afternoon stroll.

Start: Brumston Bridge (NY 1863 2936)

Route: Brumston Bridge - Sale Fell - Rivings - Lothwaite - Chapel Wood - Brumston Bridge

Distance: 3 miles     Ascent: 239 metres      Time Taken: 1 hour 50 mins

Terrain: Clear paths.

Weather: Warm and sunny.

Pub Visited: Middle Ruddings Hotel, Braithwaite    Ale Drunk: Keswick Brewery, Thirst Quencher

Lord's Seat

Lord's Seat comes into view as we start the ascent of Sale Fell.
